I am using built-in text-to-speech tools in Storyline, and there is a vocabulary "Live event" in our narration. I've tried all English characters and they all pronounce "live" as [liv] (v.) not [līv] (adj.).
I think this would be more like a language question but it really bother me as a non-English native speaker.
Any suggestions about how to make it pronounce [līv] (adj.)? Thanks.
I was having a similar issue using text to speech and to get a particular word to sound correct I had to type another word to get the sound of the word I wanted. Also sometimes adding spaces can help the audio sound better.
It was a bit of trial and error but I did get it right in the end.
I even tried just texting [līv] but the text to speech still pronounce [liv], that's frustrating. I use "life" instead "live" in the end, that's the word I know so far most close to the pronunciation I want. Thanks for your idea!

Have you tried typing the word in a phonetic way?

Hi, Maggie.
Did you try "lyve"? It sounded very close to "Live" when I tested it with the text-to-speech.
Let me know if this works!
Thank you Maria! I think "lyve" works! I appreciate your help!
