I have created "variable1", which value is equal to 0. I've put a blue button that adds +1 to that variable; an empty textbox wich is supposed to show the value of the variable, but I don't know how to do it; and finally, a green button, wich has no trigger yet, be cause I don't know what trigger to give to it, but the idea was to change the value of the variable with the blue button, and then refresh the text box with the new value, using the green button.
Geert, I tryed with %variable1% and it works. As you mentioned: it changes automatically. No need for me to press the green button. So, that's cool. Thanks.

Hi all. I have a similar question. So, I have a set of options that can be selected on the first slide, topics 1-6, which dictates which set of questions they will get. I want the results slide to show which topic they selected on the first slide. I know on the results slide simply has the %variable%, but how do I set the trigger to record the text from whichever of the 6 options they selected?

Add triggers to the six option objects that when clicked set the value of the variable to 1-6.
That was too easy. I was focusing too much on figuring out how to have one trigger do it all instead of thinking that individual triggers could do the same. Thanks!

Just put the text in the text box with % signs like this:
%variable1%
HI All
Here's an example of one I did earlier this week

Hey Everyone,
I'd like to do the opposite. I'd like to take the value of a text box (not text entry) and assign it to a variable. Any thoughts?
Thanks...
@Paul: You could uses a trigger like this
Michael,
The problem is that it is not a Text Entry box. It is just a text box from
a drop down list so I can't assign to a Text Entry.
Paul
Ok - I figured it out. Thanks....
Glad you got this figured out Paul.
Let us know if you need anything further.
Emily,
Thanks for the follow up. This forum rocks!
Paul,
How did you do it?
