Hello. I am new user of Articulate Storyline. How do I trigger correctly for a trainee to enter his or her name and then be continued throughout the course? Yep, I watched the video, but still can't get it. OMG
So it sounds like you've already had a chance to look over our tutorial on using references to variables, yeah? If you need more help, we'd be happy to take a look at what you have in your .story file and point out what might need adjusting. Can you attach it here? Thanks!

Please notice, too, that I am having trouble with layers. What should I be doing that I am not doing correctly?
Thanks for sharing your file. So I just made a few quick changes to make the first two slides function the way I think you wanted. I deleted a trigger on your first slide that essentially had the slide being skipped altogether, and then added the Text Entry variable so that it could be referenced in the second slide. The changes I made are barebones and need to be made pretty, but have a look and see if it makes sense...
