I need to add three triggers to nearly 200 slides in a Storyline 2 file, and doing this one by one would be just painful. I read that you can add them to the slide master. I did a copy/paste onto the slide master for all slide master slides, but I am not seeing them show up on any of my slides. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Lauren, thanks for reaching out. With 200 slides, I feel your pain! Unfortunately there isn't a built-in option to add a particular trigger to all slides, but that sounds like a great idea to share with our product development team. Would you mind telling us more about your needs in the form of a feature request?
For now, I might suggest that you create the trigger on one slide, copy it, then paste it to the remaining slides:
In the Triggers panel, select the trigger you want to copy.
Copy the trigger by pressing Ctrl+C or by clicking the Copy icon (looks like two pieces of paper).
Select one or more objects on the slide where you want to paste the trigger, then press Ctrl+V or click the Paste icon (looks like a clipboard).
If you need to tweak the new trigger, double-click it to open it, or click any blue underlined text to make a different selection.
That's right, MaryAnne. Content and triggers on the slide master will not appear in the timeline or in the trigger panel of slides. They'll be there, and they'll function as they are built, but you won't have control over them at the slide-level.

Triggers that you add to slide masters will not show up in the trigger list of content slides.

I haven't tried it yet, but according to this discussion, https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/triggers-on-slide-master, the triggers on the master slides WORK but don't show. I'm anxious to try tomorrow (with the PC) because I have hundreds of slides with the same triggers.
