Unwanted font substitution - Storyline 360
Jan 06, 2017
While looking at the preview copy of 360 I noticed when I published the fonts had changed and some letters (especially 'f') didn't render at all. I thought this might be because it was a preview copy. This morning I purchased and installed 360 and I'm seeing the same thing.
When creating the lesson I use Verdana and in preview all is good. When I publish the font appears to be Times New Roman and not all of the letters render.
I have attached to images, preview font is how it looks in preview and published font is how it appears online when published.
Did I miss a step when I installed or set up publishing?

FYI, this was consistent over IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
I have tried font substitution without any luck. It did change all of the fonts in the work piece, but when published reverts back to the thin Times New Roman. Link to example:

Hey Bruce - do you have a .story file that we could take a look at?

Hey Bruce - I'm not seeing your file attached here. Perhaps you were replying via e-mail which will not allow the attachment to post here in the forums.
Attached is the .story file.
Thanks for sharing Bruce. I'm not seeing an issue when I publish your file. Do you see an issue with this link?
Your published version on http://s3.amazonaws.com looks perfectly good to me. It held the fonts, and didn't change any of the formatting.
When you viewed the link I provided:

Were you able to confirm the font substitution?
When you published did you change any settings? Should I uninstall my original version and download a fresh version of Storyline 360 or all of 360? When I purchased the package I did download a fresh copy, but I was never asked to provide and authentication.
Yes, I see the font substitution when I view your link.
I would first check to see if you experience the same result when publishing to Tempshare as I did. It may be your server moreso than the software. The trial version of the software has the same functionality as the licensed version.
Thanks Leslie.
I'm going to have to get with my IT folks to see why that server is performing that way. Since these courses track user performance I'm not allow to publish or store grades on third party servers. The good news is that our main server that deploys courses via Canvas does display content correctly.
Thanks for helping me chase this down.
Bruce
No problem Bruce - hopefully you will be able to nail it down soon.
