I'm currently porting all my Storyline 2 projects to Storyline 3, but i'm getting a strange outline on the left and top of the slide. It would be fantastic if someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks for reaching out here. This is something we've reported to our team as a possible software bug.
From here, I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look so we can determine next steps. Sometimes my team catches errors in my logic and we don’t have a bug after all. Of course, if that’s the case, I’ll let you know!
Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed quickly, while others take longer to resolve. Here's more information on how we identify and tackle bugs.
I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on this issue. Thanks so much again for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry if it’s slowing you down. In the meantime, the suggested workaround is to remove and manually re-add the background image to the upgraded project.
Its only on images, not color fills. Has there been any leeway on getting this fixed? I have a customer who noticed it, so we will have to do away with a pictured background completely and switch to a fill color.
Are you also seeing this on upgraded projects? So far, that's where our team replicated and noticed that if you deleted and readded in the background image it would resolve the border issue in some cases.
Let me know if that works for you - and I'll keep you posted on any other updates about this!

FYI, i've tried different backgrounds with the same results

Hello Ashley, I too have this same issue.

Is that our only option at this point?
Hey Cameron!
There's an issue similar to this in Storyline 3 when using a slide background image. Is that what you're running into?
If so, try adding the background image to the Slide Master, rather than using the Format Background feature.
Then, double-check that Hide background graphics is enabled on the Design tab.
If you get stuck, feel free to share your file here so I can have a look. You can add it as an attachment right to a comment!

?I tried your suggestions, I still see the outline. I should mention that I'm using a borderless player. Is that the issue?
Hey Wayne!
Can you share your .story file here so we can take a look around? Feel free to add it as an attachment to a comment here!
Also, just a note that replying via email carries your signature over to the thread here. No worries though- here's how to remove it, if desired.
