I'm working on a translation project of a customer training with lots of screenshots in it. I've exported the translation word file and I'm now in a waiting position.
But... My screenshots in French are all ready to go. Can I change the screenshots in the course without messing up the translation import? Or should I wait until I receive the translated file?
Hi Michael - you could test it by importing a dummy translation file (use the exported file and just change a few things) while you're waiting for the real FR. I'm guessing that the IDs in the translation file only correspond to textboxes/editable fields etc., so on the face of it it sounds workable.
Andrew's thought is on point - the IDs in your translation file will match the original file, but if you need to make changes to images you can do so. If you want to keep an original copy of the file pre-translation do a "Save as" and the newly saved copy can act like the original.

Does that make sense?
It does make sense :-)
Thank you both!
