I am not able to recreate the issue you are reporting in a new file: I answered the second question as true, then exited the course before resuming. You can see my test file attached here. If you are able to replicate in a brand new file, I'd advise that you share with our support engineers here for further testing and review. resumetest.story

I am not able to recreate the issue you are reporting in a new file:
