I love the look of the markers and I would like to use them as an image really but I don't know how to get rid of the box (if I'm able to).
All I am trying to do is use it as a symbol to show that the page is a video/model/text/assessment page just to make something consistent through the course.
Am I able to use the marker as just an image and not as a marker?
You can change the stroke and background of the tip box to no fill and no stroke. As long as you don't have any text in the box, it'll expand invisibly and you're users will never know the difference. With your marker selected, select the format tab. Drop down label fill and select no fill. Drop down label border and select no outline.

Options could be -
Take screenshot of chosen markers and include as images
or
Use Powerpoint to create your own markers (shape plus WinGDings font' text for image)
