Hello all. When would I want to use JavaScript in a Storyline project? What can it do that Storyline can't? In what ways can it be used to enhance training?
Here are just a few basic examples of what can be done with Storyline + JavaScript. I have used JS for complex math (e.g. get the square root of value xyz) or string operations that Storyline doesn't support, (e.g. check if an entered password is at least 8 characters long and contains at least one number). Also, you can use JS + Storyline to read/write variables to GoogleDocs, use date/time functions or connect to some web service.
