We use Storyline for instructional presentations that are linked to from a website. We are not using an LMS. The website requires a login and each user has a unique profile. Is it possible to save variables in the Storyline presentation (e.g. answers to MC, fill-in-the blank and short answer questions) in a way that we could store them in the user's profile so they would re-appear when the user revisited/re-opened the Storyline file?
Thanks, but I i'm looking for a way to store them on the server and associated with the user so when they return to the presentation from any computer the variable they set are displayed. Do you know if that's possible?

I'm not sure what you mean by "user's profile", but with Resume enabled in the Storyline player (see here for some info: http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/changing-the-player-s-resume-behavior.aspx), the content of variables is stored in a Flash cookie.

you would need a database on the server and javascript, PHP solution, it is possible just not out of the box
Phil, do you know how I could get more information about this approach? Thanks.
