Using Variables to build a Scoreboard
Mar 27, 2014
Hi,
I am looking at using Storyline to build a basic scoreboard that can be used for Live Streaming.
I have tried this out using variables but I am getting stuck on some of the variable settings and Conditions to get it to work.
I need to show the following:
There are 5 ends.
Each end has 3 scores.
The cumalitive score of all 5 Ends are first, then showing each of the three scores, and then the added score of the three scores.
Example
30 : 10 10 10 = 30
I then hit a reset button to reset the 3 scores and the end total to 0 but the first number stays:
30 : 0 0 0 = 0
I then add three more scores:
57 : 9 9 9 = 27
The first number adds the previous number.
This is to be done for 5 ends. The maximum score for each is 10 and cannot exceed 30 per end. The overall total then cannot exceed 150
I created button triggers to add a number to each of the scores, but I cannot figure out how to hold the score value and add it to the next set of scores.
I have added an image to hopefully explain a bit better. Can this be done?
thanks

Hi Darren,
I'm not following your set up - especially the line about "I then hit a reset button to reset the 3 scores and the end total to 0 but the first number stays:"
You may want to share the Storyline file here so that we can take a look at it and see if there is anything off in terms of trigger order, variables used, etc.
Also, you may want to take a look at these other threads where a user has set up a scoreboard:
