Variable doesn't default to zero
Jun 09, 2017
Hi all, I'm using a variable to set the advance buttons on multiple screens so they will only work if the screen has been clicked a certain number of times. It works fine on the first screen, but on the next screen my reference shows the clicks from the previous screen even though the variable value shows as 0 when I go to adjust it. So far the only way I've been able to fix it is to use a different variable on each screen. Does anybody have an idea why my default value isn't working? Thanks!

Variables are global, not screen specific. If you'd like to have the variables "reset", you'll need to create a trigger on each slide created that sets the value equal to 0 on timeline start
Thank you Brian. I'm new to variables and I thought they would reset automatically.
