Issues With Variable References Since Update 12

I wanted to check whether anyone else has noticed any issues with the display of variable references since updating to the latest version of Storyline 360 - January 23, 2018 (Build 3.12.14533.0)?
I've found a couple of things that are creating issues in a few of my existing courses, listed below.
Issue 1: Font size of variable references shrinks instead of resizing the shape to fit the text, despite this option being selected.
Issue 2: Long strings of text no longer wrap in the shape despite this option being checked.
Both issues suggest that the text boxes may be ignoring the parameters set by the user.
I attach a sample file below.

Hi Paul,
When I view your link, I do see different font sizes:
Could you verify two things for me?
I'll be standing by!
Hi Alyssa,
I have update 2.
I installed the latest update to see if it would fix this issue.
Also tried Storyline 360
When I click the Check for Updates button in Storyline 3, the response is “There are no updates available at this time”.

I will reinstall and try a new build.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Alyssa,
Have removed then reinstalled the latest Storyline 3 update.
Built a new quiz from scratch - something may have carried through my files from the original Storyline 2 version.
Same issues occur.
When the variable reference is deleted from a text box or shape, the text displays at the correct size.
Hi Paul,
My team is putting our heads together on this, and we're a bit stumped as to why you're seeing an issue that we can't replicate, even though you're using the same version of Storyline 3 that I am.
What fonts are you using on this slide? Have you tried switching to another font? If so, what happens?
Hi Alyssa,
The issue looks to be that if a computer has a custom font size set for display (e.g. below Windows 10 recommends 125% for my laptop), Storyline seems to use this setting for any text that incorporates a variable reference, when publishing the file.
This probably accounts for why:
I have re published the original file posted with the system font size set to 100% and all is fine:

Might be worth looking in to eliminating this in a future update.
Thanks for your prompt responses and help in solving this issue, very much appreciated!
Brilliant discovery, Paul! We hadn't considered the display font size as the culprit, so I'm really glad you shared this with me.
I'll be sure to pass your findings along to my team so we can begin looking into a solution.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, and I'll keep you posted on any updates I receive!
Hi Paul,
I know you were using Storyline 3 earlier and had tested out the variable behavior with Storyline 360 too. I wanted to let you know that today, Storyline 360, build 3.21.17083.0 was released and included the following fix:
That fix will also be included in the next update of Storyline 3, (The release of that is still TBD) but I'll keep you posted on it here!
Hi everyone! I'm excited to let you know that we released update 6 for Storyline 3! It includes enhanced features and fixes - Check them out here.
One fix addressed an issue where variable reference font size was displayed too large if Windows display is 125%.
Click here to download the latest version of Storyline 3. Let me know if you need more help!
The update did NOT fix this issue... :(
