I searched the forum for the string "webvtt" and got exactly one result; 2 years old.
When you import a video into a slide in Storyline, can Storyline get and display the closed captions from a webvtt file?
Is it still the case that the only way to implement closed captioning for a video in Storyline is to manually enter and set the time for every individual text chunk such as the update-variable method?
I checked with a few members of our team, and they said it's not something that Storyline could parse out - but that it may work if you were able to use it as a web object. Since it's not something we're currently set up to support, that's just an idea that they had - so perhaps worth giving it a try to see how it works for you?

I don't believe SL2 build 10 includes support for webvtt, or similar so you're setting individual text chunks.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll add more later if I ever end up going that route; unlikely at this time.
