video controls

Apr 01, 2013

Hi,

I am pretty new to Articulate but have found most answers to my questions online or through exploration as the program is super user friendly.

Right now I am making a mockup of a course to present to my organization. I'm trying to showcase Articulate Storyline's features, as many of their demands are quite specific. ANYWAY to get to the point, I have not been able to insert a video with controls.

We need to tell the user about the video, first, and we need to make sure they can hit play instead of having the video automatically start. We'd also like for the user to be able to pause and replay the video. I know you can click on the video to pause, and click it again to replay when it's over, but we'd like more options. I am not seeing how to insert those options or if they are available. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Hannah!

What type of video file are you inserting, or are you adding a screen recording?

If you're adding a video from file, you can enable video controls and set options for when the video should start. All of these options are available under the "Options" tab, when you have the video selected in the slide.

If this isn't what you're trying to do, or you're using a different type of video, can you share some additional information?

Thanks!
