I have a course with a couple videos and when testing in Firefox, the videos won't replay on slide revisit. The playbar shows 00:00 as the duration, and the play/pause button doesn't do anything. I have the slide resetting to initial state, and the video plays as expected on first visit to the slide. I've tested both web and scorm publishes and they both have this issue. The videos also work as expected in Chrome.
Sorry you're having trouble with your videos! I'd like to test this in a new Storyline file--what version of Storyline are you using? Also, are the videos MP4 files, or are they embedded Web Objects?
I'm in SL3 and the videos are MP4s. I did initially do a small test of one video and another slide with a button that jumps back to the video, and it was still having the same issue in Firefox.
Thanks Amelia for testing that out. I'm seeing a report of something similar in Firefox, only when viewing the HTML5 output there. It looks like the videos work as expected in all over HTML5 browsers for SL3 (Chrome, IE11, Edge, etc.)
I've connected this discussion to the report filed with our team so I can update you here. In the meantime, do you have an option to use one of those browsers? Just so you know, this was also an issue we saw in Storyline 360 and have recently released a fix for. Once the next update for Storyline 3 is available, this fix will be included as well.
Thanks, Ashley! I have access to other browsers, but was just trying to get this settled before it needed to be sent to the client. Thanks for the update!
Any update on this? I'm having the same issue about videos not playing when the slide is revisited in Firefox. Our trainees have to use Firefox as this is the browser available to them in Linux. Is there a fix yet?
Update 3 of Storyline 3 was released yesterday and that should fix the issue mentioned here. Can you look at installing the update and you'll need to republish your courses to apply the fix! You can read all the fixes in our Version history and find the link to download and update here.

Hi Alyssa!
I'm in SL3 and the videos are MP4s. I did initially do a small test of one video and another slide with a button that jumps back to the video, and it was still having the same issue in Firefox.
Thanks for those details! I put together a quick sample file for you--click here to give it a test in Firefox.
Does the video in that sample replay when you revisit the first slide?
It does not. I had a coworker test it as well, just to make sure it wasn't just me, and he also had the same issue. I'm in Firefox 57.0.
Thanks Amelia for testing that out. I'm seeing a report of something similar in Firefox, only when viewing the HTML5 output there. It looks like the videos work as expected in all over HTML5 browsers for SL3 (Chrome, IE11, Edge, etc.)

Totally understandable Amelia, and we'll keep you posted here once that fix is pushed out to Storyline 3.
