Unfortunately, there's no way to access the visual characteristics of the player's next button on a slide by slide basis. However, you could accomplish this by creating your own navigation buttons.
Could you please explain how you would accomplish this. My client have created their own template with next and previous buttons. He wants the next button to be greyed out or inactive until the learner reads the screen or completes the task.
The above reference to creating your own nav buttons refers to creating your own buttons and adding them onto the actual slide. This way, you have full control over their appearance and behavior.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Hi Andrew,

I have a very strong personal antipathy to being to see a next button that I can't click. I prefer it to be invisible until it is functional.
Just personal preference, and I doubt your client will ever see it that way.
