Check out the link below, which outlines the various features of Storyline and what is or is not supported with the Flash, HTML5, or Mobile Player versions of the course. There is a comment under Volume Slider for the Mobile Player that says that mobile devices have their own volume controls. This leads me to believe that the volume slider does nothing on mobile devices so as not to compete with the device's volume control.
