I noticed that there's a difference between published and review versions of web objects, and I can't seem to figure out why. Any input is appreciated. Modern player color isn't the issue.
I'm happy to help! It looks like the top picture is using the Modern Player with the light theme and the bottom picture is using the Modern Player with the dark theme.
Sorry for the misunderstanding... one is in Articulate Review (the bottom) and the other is published in Cornerstone (top). The bottom web object looks better aesthetically than the top one sans player color.

I don't know why it published so faded.

You can change the Player setting in Player Properties. Here are more details about the Player Properties.
Lastly, the web object shouldn't appear in the Preview mode in Storyline 360. Instead, a placeholder will appear that looks similar to this.

Hello Ben!
Since the Player is responsive, have you tried changing the width of the browser? This should reformat the slide content, including the web object.
Let me know what you find!
