Why is my "move when timeline reach x seconds" trigger not working on the slide?

Hello all,
I am new to storyline so this question may be silly:
I set up a "move" trigger on a layer of a slide, which allows the image to move from point A to point B after the timeline reaches 0.25 seconds. The image would first enter the layer with an entrance animation, which lasts for 0.25 seconds.
It worked fine on that layer. However, when I later decided to separate that layer and create a single slide by copying all objects from that layer and paste them to the new slide, the move trigger stopped working -- the picture would enter the slide, and then stay there. I tried to delete the old move trigger and recreate it on that slide, but it still wouldn't work.
Can anybody help to figure out what happened?
Thanks.

Hm, I ran your file and the animation works for me. The exclamation point bitmap first grows (entrance animation) and then moved down to the bottom of the slide on motion path 2. What am I missing?
hmm, interesting -- I was using preview mode to review the motion effect. After seeing your response, I published the project and then the motion path worked.
However I can't edit the motion path in the project anymore -- when I clicked on the image, it does not show the red triangle which indicates the destination of the motion path.
Don't know what happened.
Hello Maggie!
When you select the item with the motion path, you will need to click on the animation tab to edit the motion path.
Thanks so much Emily. That was very helpful!
Glad to hear Maggie!
