Word and Excel attachments sometimes won't open in Chrome

I have not personally experienced this bug, nor have I been able to reproduce it because it appears to be a fairly unstable problem.
What seems to be happening is that an error message comes up SOMETIMES when someone tries to open an excel or word attachment. Here's what I've gotten from our IT people who've been testing the issue (and it was doing it for them). Unfortunately, I don't have a screen capture of the error message.
- It's only happening in Chrome
- It's not happening to URL links or PDF's - Only Word and Excel docs
- The links are there, they just aren't loading at first. (Ex: if you select a Word resource, it opens that blank window. If you go up to the URL and hit enter - or refresh - then the file will load)
Is this a known issue that anyone has experience with?

Hi Katie,
I haven't experienced this in Chrome either (it's generally my preferred browser). What does the error message say? If it's only happening intermittently it's hard to determine what the issue may be. If you're able to replicate the issue and determine if there are particular conditions under which it happens, please feel free to share it with our team here.
I'm also running into a problem with Word attachments not downloading in Chrome. I get a javascript alert when I try to run the module.
