I have a video taken with a 360 degree camera and I am trying to import in into Storyline 2. However it needs to be played with a certain video player, and I have not been able to import that. Thought maybe a web object might work but not sure and it needs to be local not on the internet. Anyone have any ideas?
I would think/hope that the tool you used to create the 360 degree video provides the content and player in various output options. It's been a long time, but see here for a 'virtual tour' elementI created and added to Storyline (inserted as a webobject) . The tool provided output options for Flash and HTML5 which also worked when run locally.
do you know how they added the hotspots into the video? I am guessing that was done in javascript to the video since you can't see the video after you import as a webobject.
hi Mike - what if you import the player from Github to move around your video - if you can't add a hotspot, add a shape- you can use the freedraw tool or the line tool, make sure the shape is transparent with no border and have it change state to highlighted on hover?

It's low tech, but, if you get desperate, you could try recording a screen capture video while you're playing the source video.
Yes but that will not give the user ability to control the movements.
What I need is an HTML5 wrapper on a video that can be inserted as a webobject.

Did you ever figure this out Mike?
Nope, I can import the video using a player from github but have not been able to add hotspots.
