Comic Strip Scenarios

Hi All,

I am currently working on a project for the steel industry containing comic strip style scenarios and would like to know people's opinions and experiences with onscreen text vs narrated script.

Currently the entire comic strip is narrated and there are onscreen speech bubbles. 

My question to you all is....... does the onscreen text need to match up word for word with the narrated script or would a summary of what is being said suffice? What would be the different effects on the user's experience.
