Content Reuse Question

Apr 19, 2020

Hi there,

I have created a nice looking instruction: an icon, a textbox, a background. I labelled all the parts, grouped it and animated it. I'd like to use it in a series of courses I am working on that all need to have the same look and feel. How do I save this as a template to insert into other courses so that I then just have to edit the textbox?

Thanks!
Stefanie

Hi Stefanie,

I'm going to assume you are using Storyline in your query above, in which case the answer is a simple one. All you have to do once you have created your slide(s) is to select "Save As" from the File menu and then select the "Storyline Template" option from the "Save as Type" drop-down box.

When you next want to use the template, simply select "My Templates" from the Slides menu, select your template from the drop-down list in the dialogue box and then select Import . A new slide with that template will then be added to your course ready for you to edit.

Hi Stefanie,

If you have Articulate 360 Teams, then you could save this slide in the Teams Slides window by following the instructions in this tutorial. That way, you'd always have easy access to your file directly in Storyline 360.

If you don't have a Teams subscription, you could simply save your file as a template as outlined in this tutorial.

I hope that helps! :) Let me know if you have any other questions.
