Created something different using Storyline

Nov 19, 2014

Hi,

I recently downloaded the trial version of Storyline 2 to see what the new bells and whistles were and then proceeded to create a travel guide of a personal project I had completed from 2012-2014. It seemed fitting to place all of my work into one place. I'm still working on creating something using InDesign, but since my trial will be ending soon, I figured why not do something with it while I have it.

This is not a course, but I love Storyline for this purpose as well. Here's the link to the Colorado Scenic & Historic Byways - Travel Guide.

Issue?

When I uploaded the files to my Google site using the File Cabinet feature, I realized that the only way this Storyline file would play was as a swf. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, because I much prefer the black background in the browser window to highlight this travel guide.

Hey Cathy!

Very smart of you to build out a sample project with the trial version you downloaded! Great new piece to add to your portfolio, and ...Wow what a detailed course! I feel like I know a lot more about Colorado now. Great graphics and very well put together. Thanks for your generosity in sharing this with the community and inspiring others!

Absolutely, the more time we spend developing, the more we develop short-cuts and tricks to save us time and make our lives easier! So glad you enjoy working with Storyline enough to build projects "for fun" -- we have that in common! I know you said it's not a course but I think I would still classify this as e-learning because someone can definitely learn about Colorado looking through it. And it's funny how many times I spot a mistake only once it's been uploaded. Argh!! Thanks again Cathy, have a great evening :)
