This week's challenge is to share your top tips for e-learning freelancers, and if you haven't shared already - you should! After I did, someone asked how to get work as a freelancer to begin with - so I condensed what I do into a quick 3 steps and posted that, too.
Since my advice about finding work is all quite community-centric and because I know many of you have had similar success, I thought I'd share it here in case you'd like to add your own thoughts or experiences.
After all, there's nothing like success stories to motivate, encourage, and inform the fledgling and future freelancers among us.
I would have to answer this question with a resounding 'YES!'. The community has been incredible for helping me find some solid gigs (and for helping me put myself out there). I'm currently working on projects with two feeling ELHs, and I have a standing contract with another.
That's great, Ashley! When Dan gave his testimonial in the comments on my blog I thought it might be nice to hear from others - and I know there are lots of success stories here.
The other thing that's at least as gratifying as getting work here is being able to pass work on to others, too. When you see the difference it can make in someone else's life it makes it all worthwhile.
