Hide Next player button until certain slides visited
Mar 02, 2016
Hi
I have a slide which I have three sceanrios which the learner is to click on and each buton sends the learner to a seperate question slide. However, I want to disable the next button until the leaner has clicked on all 3 scenarios and answered each question. I have tried creating a variable which adds 1 when a button is clicked and then created a change of state of the next button if the variable equals 3. However, it seems to be resetting itself everytime the learner comes back to the original slide. I have now removed the variable. Can anyone help me? I have attached the scene, as I am sure I am not making any sense

One suggestion I'd make is that you disable the button rather than completely hide it; that's best practice in terms of user experience.
Hi Martin,
Take a look at this. I added 3 variables that are triggered when that scenario starts. The next button is set to be hidden at the start and then change if all three variables are true.
Try this and let me know if it helps. Tooled around a bit with it yesterday.
I see you grouped the blender and the button and that the button has states. You need the whole group to have states so that you can change the state of the Next button to normal when the state of all three buttons is "visited."
I would suggest that you:
1. Take a screenshot of your button and its blender and then save that as a .png
2. Delete your buttons and your groups and instead insert your new .png of your button, 3 times. (Name them button 1, button 2, and button 3 in the timeline to avoid confusion)
3. Add a "Visited" state to your buttons
4. Change the state of the Next button to normal when the state of all three buttons is "visited."
