I'm trying to to design a scene where I have a Data entry box on consecutive slides, id like the audience to type a number into. The last slide in the scene I would like to create a variable that calculates the sum of those numbers. I have seen buttons that do these kinds of things but I would just like the sum to appear on the slide with no button. If anybody has any clues that would be awesome!
Lets say you have 3 slides where they answer and a final slide where it shows the total. On each of those three, add a Numeric entry field, and on the next slide add a trigger that adds the previous variable to an overall Variable (let's call it Final Score). Then display a text box with inserted reference to that variable to display.
So Slide 1, Numeric Entry goes into Entry variable, Slide 2 Numeric Entry is added to Final Score and the new entry goes into Entry 2, Slide 3 Entry 2 is added to Final Score and Entry 3 is recorded, final slide Entry 3 is added to Final Score and Final Score is displayed.

Instead of triggering the calculation(s) with `when user clicks 'button_xyz`, set the trigger(s) to `When timeline starts`.

This is easily done using variables and triggers. I quickly set this up for you in a .story file.
