I have used the free music from Audionautix for smaller projects. For larger, more serious client projects, I have purchased music from AudioMicro.
The challenge is to find the "right" music. Even though both have large a large selection to choose from, you may end up spending hours listening to them to find one you like.

One of the first sites I visit for that sort of thing is Incompetech.
Also, have a look at Pond5, and Audiomicro.
