I'm hoping the creative community might have ideas to help me create an interaction that simulates the old Operation game. I've created a patient with several body parts. My goal is to have the user pick up a hemostat (tweezers) and use the hemostat to pick up a body part and drag it to a surgical table. Does anyone know of a way that one object can be used to select another object as part of a drag and drop interaction? If this isn't possible, any creative ideas for this type of interaction would be very much appreciated.
Was playing around with an idea. You create hemostat with multiple states depending on what it's dragged over. That gives the illusion of picking something up. Then you need to build a drop target and change the state back the normal state.

Here's a starting point.
Thank you Tom, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Let me work on the next step (drop state) and then I'll post my game.
