Pop Up Templates
May 27, 2011
This is inspired from Jeanette's blogpost on creating pop ups in Presenter... http://community.articulate.com/blogs/jeanette/archive/2010/11/16/creating-a-clickable-pop-up-effect-in-your-course.aspx
Here are a few handy poppers that you may use.
Garnishing Tips - Pop ups look great with the `Faded Zoom' custom effect (Both entrance as well as exit animation).

Your so great at sharing!
This is wonderful! Thank you...
Good range of exit/close buttons - Really well done and a great time saver.
Hi-
Can you save the Poppers.pptx a for PowerPoint 2003?
Much appreciated.
Yes Scott, I think you can save it for 2003. Let me know if something's wrong.
Hi Scott,
I'm guessing you mean can't actually open the file as it is a .pptx in 2003 and therefore cant save it for 2003. So I have resaved it as a .ppt file for you and uploaded. If I have misunderstood then please ignore this post!
Thanks,
Kat
Thank you Kat!
Hello, its me again. I'm not following the Poppers template. When I publish, the pop-ups behave independently (fade in and out) from a click.
Please advise
Thanks!
Scott
Thanks for sharing, Poornima! These are great!
Hi,
I'm hoping for some help soon as I have a project due on Tuesday.
I'm not following the Poppers template. When I publish, the pop-ups behave independently (fade in and out).
How does this template work when published?
Any help please.
Scott
Hi Scott,
Sorry it has taken so long to reply. So I had a look at the animations and I'm not positive but I believe the animations are acting independently because they are set up as "on-click" animations and I think these get ignored when it gets published to articulate.
I'm not sure exactly how Poornima was planning these to be used but I would be working along the lines of Jeanette's post (see the link in Poornima's orginal post). Where you would set up a slide with a hyperlink and create a duplicate slide where the animation comes in with the information and then have a second duplicate slide where you have the animation disappearing when the person clicks the close button and it goes back to the original menu.
If you want I could try and put a mock up together to show you how it could work but I won't be able to do it until Wednesday which misses your deadline unfortunately. Let me know if you would like me to put something quick together anyway.
Hope that helps.
Kat
Hi Katt (love that name),
I worked this weekend and used Jeannettes model and got eveything to come together.
Thanks for getting back to me, your concern and kindness.
