Some friends of mine agreed to let me use their photos for producing poster-style headshots. I have used these effectively in a cartoon book approach to constructing a training module. Hope you like them!
What a great resource! Thank you very much. I'd love to know how to do this. It completely allows personnel to move about the company and still use the great photos we have of them. An explanation of achieving the effect would be most beneficial!
Sorry for the delay in responding! I used the editing tools of PowerPoint for these. Here were the steps I used:
1. Insert photo in blank PPT slide and size to fill slide; click on Picture Tools tab
2. Select "Remove background," adjust areas, and select "Keep changes"
3. Use either "Color" to increase saturation or "Corrections" to increase contrast. You can undo and play with these to see what works best.
4. Use "Artistic Effects" to select "Cutout"
5. Right-click on graphic and "Save as picture"
For some photos I had good results using "Photocopy" in step 4 to make a pastel look. The main thing is to collect enough photos with each subject doing a variety of poses. The photos shot against a solid background with lighting to remove background shadows work best. Happy posterizing!

Hey David, these are fun. Thank you for sharing.
Can you share some info around how you created the effects?
