Smartphone ready SCORM files

Feb 05, 2020

I understand that content published by Storyline is smartphone friendly. But I just want to know is there any difference in designing if I want e-learning specifically designed for mobile phones? Do I need to publish in any specific way or have my story size setup in a specific way?

Hi Rachna,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You don't need to design your course in a specific way so that learners can view it on mobile devices.

In Storyline 360 the course player does all of the work, dynamically adapting and optimizing your course for every device. The player also recognizes common mobile gestures like swipe, tap, and pinch-to-zoom.

However, we do have some helpful articles and tips for designing with mobile in mind. Here are a few I found in the E-Learning Heroes community:

Hello Martika, Thanks for your reply. The problem is that the images are already designed in Indesign and they are designed specifically for smartphones. I need to make sure that they look exact same with no white spaces. So if I design it for desktop then the problem of white spaces would be there. I am not sure what story size shall I start with.
