Do you have a rule of thumb as to when you would use state changes vs layers? Have you noticed any issues when you did one way vs the other, e.g., navigation, previous, etc? Each, states and layers, have their own intent and purpose but sometimes you can use either one. Thanks.

If I need animation I'll use layers as states don't completely support animation when transitioning from one state to another.
