Stop receiving replies? Am I the only one?

I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that signs up to receive replies to posts and will receive a few, but than all of of sudden it stops. There have been several posts i have signed up to receive replies because I want to keep a tab on the topic (freelance heroes is one). I'll receive a few replies but all of a sudden it stops. There is no normal length of time I have noticed. Sometimes its one week, sometimes a little bit longer.
At first I thought it was because I subscribed to other posts and there may be a limit. But I just signed up to a recent post, I resigned up for replies, received one response, then nothing else even though there has been 2 more responses.
I think this started after they took off the automatic signup and I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same thing.

Hi Jerson! Are you replying in the meantime? You must re-subscribe after you post a response. If not, you should remain subscribed.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont, and I still get dropped from the responses.
Interesting, I've not encountered that at all. Thanks for the update. I'm gonna ask around on my end.
Why, that is really not intuitive at all?

It was a side effect of our moderation that we had to put into place for spam.
I thought it was me... True, I was subscribed to freelance heroes and I was receiving no messages, I thought that the thread was dead, but now I see it isn't anymore.
Well, it's good to know that it's still alive.

That makes sense. Nobody likes spam unless it comes in one of the following formats:
Unless you're me and Spam is unacceptable in any format
I agree though, no Spam in the forums please! I'll manually subscribe with pleasure.
