Just wondering - instead of embedding a video straight into a SL360 slide can you just insert a link that would take the learner to a utube video instead?
see image -(1) I made Hotspot - (2) double clicked auto appear trigger, and (3)changed the action - (4-last) then I copy pasted the link in the "file" area. ( the arrow would be step 4 if I didn't forget to add the number circle
PS, am I right in thinking - having the video embedded into the slide increases the overall file size of the course and linking to an outside site to view the video instead would make the SL file size a lot smaller?

Hi Gabrielle,
If you are looking to reduce file size you could try and use the web object feature in Storyline instead.
The video will still be displayed on the slide but it won't increase your file size.
To embed a youtube video generate the embed code on youtube and only copy across the URL part of this code as the web object address.
Hope this helps.
