I was curious as to what Elearning conferences you guys attend/have attended and what you think of them.
I went to DevLearn last year, and would like to selet a different one this year to obtain a new experience / learning opportunity. I've done some research on other options - but would like to hear the opinions of people on this blog!!
The Conference & Expo Training Magazine puts on each year is good. It's not specific to eLearning . . . a lot more broad in the type of topics that are available. But I've found it really valuable the times I've attended.
I guess you are US-based, and referring to US conferences.
Here in the UK we have the European Articulate Conference, (next week), and I will be hosting the "Storyline Jam" on October 20th 2012 - really more of a "play day" based around some masterclasses, and "playtime" for those that want to see SL in action.
I attended DevCon in Salt Lake last year and plan on attending again (June 6-8). It is a small conference, but has a lot of great information specific to e-Learning.
I've also enjoyed the Training Magazine Conference and Expo that Brian mentions. It is a little broader than DevLearn, and they seem to have very knowledgable/experienced speakers.
I would like to ask a similar question regarding eLearning training down under (ie Australia and more specifically, Melbourne Victoria) - any recommendations? Upcoming events?

Yes, thank you for clarifying Bruce, I am referring to US conferences. Also, when I say "this year" I mean July 2012-July 2013.
Thanks!
I hear from lots of folks that Devlearn is one of the better conferences.
+1 to Training Magazine's conference.
Like Brian, I also found it valuable and the topics varied enough that there was something for more everyone.

Thanks for the input!!
I've attended the Distance Teaching and Learning Conference in Madison, WI.
It draws participants from around the world and has had some big names in elearning as presenters.
The focus is on more than elearning though.
However, my number one preferred conference for elearning is DevLearn.
Thanks for raising this Heidi.
