I have a manual. Yes, I said a manual. The customer wants me to break it into three modules. It currently has 148 slides, and it is not performing well.
You can certainly create 2 additional projects for your content and then import the slides that you wish to include. This means you would not have to recreate the content.
Of course, where to break up the content would be up to you. Perhaps your current course has scenes that make it easy and hopefully the import will save you some time.
Hopefully others will be able to chime in with their ideas and experiences to share.
Agree with Allison's response - creating a few copies of the course and deleting the extra slides.
Before splitting/deleting, if there is a shared intro / conclusion or template you want to use maybe do all of that work on the original file before splitting it up?

Hi Kathy,
You could also try creating two copies of the existing course, then deleting slides to narrow it down to 1/3 of the course to create a section.
When you say it's not performing well, do you mean from a technical perspective or a learner perspective?
Thanks Leslie
