How to change background color of PRE-BUILT LESSONS
Mar 23, 2018
Hi all,
Within a RISE course I'm developing I have around 8 sections containing anywhere between 3 and 6 pre-built lessons mixed in with blocks.
RISE does not make it obvious to the learner that they are moving from one section to another was you go through the course, we want to add a subtle background color change to each section so that all lessons in a section have the same color.
What we have found is that blocks allow you to change the background color but it seems this is not possible for any of the pre-built lessons.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
Correct - changing the background colors is only an option on the Blocks lessons.
Your scenario is feedback I can definitely pass along to our Product team, and if you'd like to share other thoughts with them please feel free to send those along right here. 😁
Hi Matt,
You can change the background color of individual Rise blocks, but the pre-built lessons will have a white background. It sounds like you'd like to see the ability to change the pre-built lesson background color--I can pass that idea along to our product team for you! And feel free to share any other ideas you have here: Feature Request Form.
Any update ?
Hi Furkan,
Pre-built lessons no longer exist, so this is no longer an issue. :)
Let me know if you have any other questions.
The process lesson block still doesn't allow the background color to be changed. I need to be able to do this for my design. Is this a bug? Will it be fixed soon?
Hi there, Amanda. The process block is built differently than other block types because of the animation of the steps, and the block background color isn't an available feature.
That's a real shame. I wanted to use this feature, but it will stick out like a sore thumb in my course with a grey background. I won't be able to use it.
