How to secure e-learning courses on Rise Articulate

Dec 18, 2023

Hello, I have some troubles that need your support

Our courses were built for internal employees, so the content must be protected. However, when sharing the preview link on Rise 360, this link was not protected, whoever gets the link, they both have access to view this course. The Security Team told us that maybe we must remove all the courses (by the way we also publish as Scorm and upload it to LMS)

So is there any solution to protect our content on Rise 360, like a password, locker...?

Thanks a lot

Hi, VIB Learning!

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Karl is correct that Rise 360 is a tool that allows you to create online courses. One detail I want to share is that it is possible to password-protect a share link. Here's how:

  1. From the course main page, click Share
  2. Click the Set a password checkbox
  3. Type your password, and click OK

If you are uploading your course to an LMS, they may have some additional settings available. I recommend checking with them directly as well!

Hi Louise!

Thanks for reaching out!

  • If I understand correctly, you are collaborating on a Rise 360 course as an Editor. Is that right?

Only the owner of the content can set a Share password. Here are a couple of options to consider:
