Embedded videos from Vimeo will reduce the overall file size of the Rise 360 output because the video is hosted on the web.
Video files uploaded directly to Rise 360 offer more navigational control than embedded videos. You can disable forward seeking to ensure the learner watches the video in full.
I hope that helps you decide which option is best for you!
Adding videos directly to your course increases the size of your course export.
If you change a video, you need to re-export your course.
If you use Vimeo, as long as the video link does not change, you can simply replace the video with a new version without having to re-export your course.
So I am just on a trial version right now. I started course development and when you view a video on Vimeo, you go to the Vimeo site and there is no direction as to how to proceed. I have included in my course the instructions to return to the browser tab to continue the course after watching the video. . . but that seems hokey. Am I missing a step or is this typical without actually embedding the video in your course?
Hi there! Learners should not have to leave your Rise 360 course to view the video on Vimeo. Instead, the video should play within your lesson. Did you use a Multimedia Embed block, as shown below?
Hi - for some reason when I embed my vimeo video I loose the player tools so learners cant rewind the video (old I know). What I mean is the player controls normally at the bottom of the video are missing - any advice?

Hi Craig! Did you use a simple Vimeo link in this format? https://vimeo.com/113569548
Try inserting the Vimeo video link (like the one above) in a multimedia embed block, and let me know if you see an improvement.
