After you download the .artkpkg file, just double-click it to
install. Next time you open Engage to create a new interaction, choose Community Interactions and then select Stairstep.
For more info on Engage community interactions, check out this page.
Hi Jeff - currently the stairstep interaction doesn't offer the ability to change the step colors. That would make a good feature request. www.articulate.com/.../feature
Hello -- I am using Stairstep with 3 stairs. Several users have reported the my three stairs are rebuilding on the slide so it looks like 7 stairs. Do you know why this is occuring and is there anything I can do to correct it.
Alice,
When previewing a published project, the step data is retrieved from the published data.xml file on-the-fly. If this file is corrupt or incomplete, this might cause this issue. Try publishing as a standalone (outside of Presenter) and see if you or anyone can reproduce the issue.
If the StairStep is inside of an Articulate Presenter presentation what other interactions are in this presentation? It's possible one of the other interaction types is using the same step variable reference. Try removing the other interactions and republish a test project to try and find the culprit.
If you can reproduce the issue, you can always submit a case to our support team at the following link.

I hope this helps!
Hi,
I'm having a problem publishing a file with the stair step interaction. It sets in a presentation immediately after a guided image interaction. I have saved and published it as a stand alone with no problems, but when published within a presentation I lose all the body text and the "next" button, effectively hanging up the balance of the presentation. The headings and stair steps are there and the forward arrow works ... any thoughts?
Hi Julie - I just wasn't able to reproduce that issue; would you mind submitting a support case so we can take a closer look at what's going on with your project? Here's where you can do that: www.articulate.com/.../method.php
Hello Heidi, I responded to your other post too - but just wanted to be sure you saw this one as well. The download seems to be working for me; you might be running into browser or firewall issues. Can you try in a different browser? Feel free to private-message me if you continue to have trouble.
That seems to have done the trick, thanks Jeanette. Funny, after downloading the Stairstep in another browser, I came back to Google Chrome and was able to download the Flipbook too. I don't know what was different, though I am on a new computer....
template looks great! When I attempt to download it it tries to open in Adobe and I get an error. I can't get it to save as an articulate document or open in articulate. Is someone able to email me a copy?
Thanks!
Inas,
The Stairstep Interaction is the same as all other Engage Interactions, meaning you can add your own content by using this as a template in Articulate Engage. The following link is a good place to get you started.

I hope this helps!
When I try to download this interaction, I get a message telling me this page in unavailable. Is it? or is there something additional I need to do besides clicking the download button?
Thanks!
Im in the same problem:
