I was looking through the variables and for the longest time I was like "But why does it multiply by 10 on every number?"
Then it finally clicked.
Very very clever. Thanks for sharing!
It increases the order of magnitude for every digit entered. so you can type '1' '2' '3' and it will interpret it as 123 (one hundred and twenty three). Every digit is set to multiply the current value by 10 then add the last digit entered. pretty slick.
Thank you. I'll have to marinate that in my brain to make the connection. Maybe a Storyline to explain your explanation. Lol!
I'm not mathematically gifted, especially in the word problem department.
Hi, This is great but is there a way for it to calculate more than two numbers in a sequence?
1+2+3 which should be 6 comes out as 5.
I'm currently working on a calculations project and maths is not my strong suit. Any pointers to a fully functioning calculator in Storyline would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Dave and (anyone else in this thread),
I am using your template in one of my builds and using it for manual entry of a UPC/Barcode. It works great until I get to the 8th digit, and after the 8th digit it simply adds 0s to the end. Is there anyway to correct this?
This works until I enter an 8-digit number, then it changes the 7th digit and any additional digits after that. Am I missing something? I saw this issue when I downloaded this. I recreated it in my eLearning and the same issue is happening. I'm using v3.41.22450.0.
