Make this download your own by swapping out the Content Library stock images and changing the colors of the drawing shapes and buttons. This project uses the free font Lato in a bold and a light stroke.
Hi Jenna. Our team released an update to Storyline 3 today which should allow you to open and use this Storyline 360 project. Install that update and you should be good to go with this download.
It didn't work for me beyond step one. The buttons must have been hidden somehow. If you click where the button was located on Step 1 for the rest of them, it should work.
Trina the examples you create are beautifully crafted.
I do have a suggestion for an improvement; perhaps think of a way to indicate progress or the number of steps that the process requires.
Great job!
Hi Trina,
This is really great and thank you for sharing. When I open the file up, I'm noticing a couple of triggers that refer to changing the state of something to All but the target is showing 'unassigned'. Could you clarify what this refers to? I'm seeing it in the Step 4 and Summary layers.
"Change state of unassigned to All When the timeline starts" on the Summary layer
"Change state of unassigned to All When the timeline ends" on layer 4
Your help would be much appreciated :-)
Regards,
Rob.
Hi Rob. Thanks for your comment. You've actually stumbled upon the relics of a more complicated version of this project! I originally played around with a design for this project that included a fancy, animated progress meter. I got it working but when I shared it with colleagues, they thought it might be a little much. I ended up taking it out to try and make this download a little more accessible for folks who may be newer to Storyline. You can feel free to remove those triggers...or get fancy if you're so inclined!
Thanks for sharing Trina! I really like the smooth animations for the blocks on each step, and the offset in timing for the entrance motion makes it really appealing.
And I totally understand relics inside previous versions of a demo. lol!
Thanks for sharing this, Trina! I want to use this as the basis for an upcoming project but had a question. Why are the buttons in a different slide (assets) than everything else? I'm not sure I know how to use them correctly in this way. Still learning Storyline so I appreciate the help!
Hi Carlye. This project is made with PowerPoint and PowerPoint doesn't have the concept of states for objects. For instance, a button in PowerPoint doesn't have a normal state and hover state unless you create copies of it on different slides. Thankfully in Storyline 360, you can add states to objects like custom buttons. So if you're importing this download into Storyline 360, you can use the included asset slide to create your own custom states for objects like buttons, for instance, and then add those button images as object states in Storyline. You can learn more about object states in this article if you're curious: https://community.articulate.com/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-add-and-edit-states You might also want to check out this article from Nicole on cool ...
