Can someone please help me? We were developing a French project in Storyline and I was not getting correct answer and not able to get the score when i have entered French text under "Acceptable Answers" field in the Fill in the Blank question. Any ideas? (do i need to change font face/ some other settings)
This was an issue fixed in Update 2 of Storyline, as you'll see here. We're now into update 3 which was released in May 2013. If you're unsure which version of Storyline you have, you can go to the Help tab -> About Articulate Storyline to confirm which version you're using. So if you'd like to submit a Support case or share your .STORY file here we'd be happy to take a look.
Thanks for sending along your file. I reviewed it, and after not being able to determine a fix on my end I have submitted a Support case on your behalf. The case number is 00348570 and I'll follow along.
I was able to isolate the issue to being the " ' " character in the answer. By changing the correct answer to (Déessedeimmortalité) which is not perfect French, but does say the same thing. I get the answer correct.
Ashley: This is a UTF-8 character support (locale) issue in Storyline.
Just to update this thread, it was confirmed that the apostrophe was causing the issue - and it was causing different issues in PPT vs. Storyline as the apostrophe's are a bit different. In PowerPoint the apostrophe would be the one with a curve whereas the apostrophe that is produced when typing in on a web browser (and also in Articulate Storyline),would be the straight one. Hope that helps anyone following along!

Hi Ashley and Jyothi:

Thanks Dennis for sending that along - I wouldn't have known it was still correct in French by removing that, so I appreciate your help!
Jyothi, let us know if that works for you, and I can always update your support case.
Hi Dennis and Ashley,
Thanks a ton for your help in resolving my issue.
We will suggest the same to our client.
Is there any possibility to encode the fill in the blank question file to UTF 8 support in Articulate Storyline?
Thanks,
Jyothi

I'm a bit confused. What apostrophe do I need to enter in the question so that it will match the student's response when s/he types an apostrophe?
Hi Kathleen!
Looks like I just responded to a similar question here.
