Pause Button in Storyline Player

Hi All, 

I'm reviewing a course from Storyline in Review 360. When I click pause on the media player, it pauses the video/audio from the base layer, but the timeline seems to continue on other layers, making the visuals pop up and move as they should, while nothing else is happening. 

Is there a way to ensure that the media player play/pause buttons do so for ALL elements, not just base layers?

For reference, I'm using the modern player and can't seem to find anything other than show/hide button in the settings.
