Our people are so conditioned to hitting Next-->Next-->Next that even a simple variation in navigation throws them for a loop! I'm still amazed when users tell me that a course "froze" and wouldn't let them advance when clearly there is only one button on the screen (labeled with instructions, mind you) that they should click on to move ahead. I'm learning that big buttons are helpful. :)
I feel this in my soul! This happens anytime I switch up my nav. Which actually encourages me to do it more. All that "next, next, next" apparently allows them to tune right out and pay no mind to what's on the screen.
