Great tips. I have a rule that if I get into conversations about things people would like for their courses in an informal setting, I tell them to email me with what they are asking so that I understand it clearly and there is no confusion. I find that often, something that seemed very important to them when they happened to catch me in line for a coffee, suddenly isn't so important if they have to commit it to writing.
