5 Great Ways to Personalize Articulate Quizmaker Results Slides

One of the great things about Articulate Quizmaker is that the results slides are created automatically, no programming necessary. Most people know that you can change the layout of the results slides, just like any other slide. But did you know there are a couple of other things you can do to personalize your results slides? Let’s take a look!

1. Select the Type of Results Slide

There are several types of results slides in Quizmaker. The graded results slide is selected by default, but if you choose the Survey option you’ll see that Quizmaker automatically gets rid of all the score-related information and adds a thank you message.

If you choose None, Quizmaker will get rid of the results slide altogether.

This can be useful if you’re creating a non-graded exercise that you plan to insert in the middle of an Articulate Presenter course.

2. Choose How You Want to Display Results: Points and/or Percentages?

By default, Quizmaker gives you the score as a percentage, with the points in parentheses. However, sometimes it doesn’t make sense to show the points, or vice-versa. If you don’t want to display the percentage, delete all the text before the parenthesis. If you want to get rid of the points, delete the parentheses and everything inside them. It’s that simple!

3. Allow Learners to Retry

You can also add a Retry button to your results slide, which is handy if learners failed and you want to let them try again, or if they passed but want to try for a better score. Simply check the box in the Results Slide Options panel and you’re all set.

4. Allow Learners to Print Their Results

Whether you need learners to print the results and send them to you because you don’t have access to an LMS, or you just want learners to be able to keep a record of their score for their own personal use, this option is available via the Results Slide Options panel. A quick check of the box, and it’s done!

5. Add “Go to URL Upon Quiz Completion”

This little-known feature is super-useful if you want to direct learners to a post-course survey or to your company’s intranet, for example. All you’ve got to do is select Go to URL and enter the website address, and learners will be sent there as soon as they’ve finished the quiz.

Now that you know these tips and tricks, you’re well on your way to being an Articulate Quizmaker pro! Feel free to share any other results slide wisdom in the comments section below.

If you’d like to try out these Quizmaker tricks, but don’t have Articulate software, never fear! You can download a free trial and be on your way in minutes. And don’t forget to come back to E-Learning Heroes regularly for more helpful advice on everything related to e-learning.

    Hi all,
I've a question to the quizmaker. In the result slide should be shown 90% passing scores not 80%. How can I change the "formula für calculating"?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards, Corinna

When I check the box to have the learner retry the quiz, I'm not getting a Retry Quiz button. Is there a reason for this?

Are you looking at the results slide? It should appear automatically. If not, I would send your file to support@articulate.com so they can help you out with that.

Thanks- I actually figured out the problem when I mistakenly clicked on the feeback layers while editing the results slide. I realized that I had set up the Successful result but not the Failure results. Once I did that, everything worked! I was not aware that I needed to set those up separately.

        Thanks for the reply!
  • Hi, right now, we have one result slide for "pass" and one for "failed". I'd like to be have a 3rd. Ex: Score below 50% slide result A, between 51 and 80% slide B and 81% and up slide C.

Is there a way to do that?

Hi Julien! Are you using Quizmaker or Storyline? In Quizmaker unfortunately that's not possible, however in Storyline you can definitely do that with triggers.

Hi Allison, I have both. I built it initially with Quizmaker. Anyway I can export the quiz to Storyline?
  • Hi Allisson,,
one addional question regarding the feedback:

I want to create different feedbacks that depend on the number of scpores, so e.g. I offer 6 questions and if you reach a scoring of 6 (all answers correct) you get "text 1", if 5 are correct text 2 etc.

But actually I can't find a function to create this different feedbacks in quizmaker 13 - can you support me?
